And Now, A Sleep Story…

Before working with Andi, I had read a lot about baby sleep. I understood the principles of teaching self-soothing and my husband and I had successfully used the Ferber method to improve our son’s nighttime sleep when he was 9 months old. But naps. Oof! Naps were still a mess. At 10 months old Eliot’s naps regressed and he would only nap in the stroller, car seat, or on me.

We reached out to Andi when Eliot was 11 months. She met with us on the phone and in person. She assessed Eliot’s sleep patterns, his sleeping environment, and our goals. She put together a clear, personalized 2-week plan that we followed with fidelity. Now we put Eliot down awake in his crib at naptime and he puts himself to sleep in about 10 minutes with no crying.

I really felt like Andi was our partner in this process. She initiated a lot of our dialogue during the 2-week training period. She regularly checked our shared sleep log and would ping us to see how it was going and offer her observations.

It is easy to fall down the rabbit hole of internet research and discussion boards when trying to sort out your baby’s sleep difficulties. Working with Andi cuts out all that confusion and noise. You have to be willing to commit to a strict schedule during the training process, but if you follow the plan, I’m extremely confident Andi will deliver results.
