My journey To Becoming A Sleep Training Master
I was exhausted, frustrated and my baby Was not sleeping.
I loved motherhood but I missed sleeping. I couldn’t get my daughter to sleep and bedtime was not getting any easier. Yes, early on in my mom years I also struggled with getting my newborn baby to sleep. Just three weeks after my daughter, Lucia, was born, my husband took on a new job and was gone for long stretches of time. I was on my own and my daughter was not sleeping!
Here’s the thing–I LOVE Sleep.
I love going to bed early and feeling rested. But my 4 month old and I were both struggling. I could not understand why my baby was not sleeping well. She would spend her nights crying and the quality of our sleep was atrocious. I was getting up 6 or more times a night for a quick feed and then back to bed!
Don’t get me wrong, motherhood was blissful and lovely, but it was also exhausting . . . Not at all what I expected.
I began to experience what so many other new parents had gone through. I was up in the middle of the night, frantically reading parenting books and searching Google for any advice on how to get your baby to sleep but NOTHING was working.
